Aurelien Chatagnier St Joseph Rouge 2017
The nose is thorough, well set up with dark black fruits, Morello cherries, inkspots of depth, a couch of slightly sweet oak. The palate is luxurious, gourmand, billows out on wavy black fruit content with sweet tannins in tow, the oak bringing its sweetness. This is a flashy style of St Jo, an obvious eye catcher. There is plenty of juice inside it, but it is closer to the Syrah than the vineyard for now.
